A devastating wildfire has ravaged the Hollywood Hills, resulting in five fatalities and the destruction of more than 2,000 structures. Over 100,000 residents in Los Angeles County are under evacuation orders as multiple blazes, fueled by winds gusting up to 100 mph, continue to spread. The Palisades Fire has scorched over 15,800 acres, impacting numerous homes and landmarks along Pacific Coast Highway toward Malibu. Simultaneously, the Eaton Fire has consumed more than 10,000 acres in Altadena and Pasadena, leading to expanded evacuation orders. A new blaze, the Sunset Fire, erupted around 5:45 p.m., advancing south toward Hollywood Boulevard. Additionally, the Hurst Fire has burned 700 acres near Sylmar. Red flag warnings remain in effect for Los Angeles and Ventura counties through Thursday, with firefighters battling tirelessly to contain the infernos.
